Coach Development Co-Ordinator
Location: Hybrid – Remote working with regular visits to local settings (Ards & North Down, Belfast, Lisburn & Castlereagh)
Salary: £26,000 - £28,000 per annum
Hours: Part-time (20 hours per week, pro-rata based on a 35-hour week)
Contract: Fixed Term Contract for 1.5 years (with opportunity to extend)
Travel: Must have full driving licence and access to a car. Mileage reimbursed.

Main responsibilities
Coaching
Plan, organise, and deliver engaging physical activity sessions for children of various ages and abilities.
Work with schools, community groups, and camps to tailor sessions to meet their specific needs.
Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages all children to participate and enjoy physical activity.
Develop and implement new and creative ways to motivate children and enhance their physical fitness.
Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all participants during activities.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other stakeholders to promote the benefits of physical activity.
Maintain and manage equipment and resources effectively.
Work with Directors and have input into the design and delivery of funded programmes.
Coach Development
Work closely with the Service Delivery Director to support recruitment of coaches
Co-ordinate induction and training of new coaches, with the support and guidance of Service Delivery Director
Conduct 'support checks’ to ensure Lead Coaches are feeling supported, and that they are still confident in leading AYNI sessions according to the lesson plans and structure.
Producing lesson plans, and video guides to support coaches in their roles.
AYNI Camps
The Coach Development Coordinator will manage the delivery of AYNI Camps and will be responsible for the smooth and effective execution of the day in accordance with the timetable.
Co-ordinate coaching staff, being ‘front of house’ for parents and children on arrival.
Implement and enforce all AYNI policies; including the policing of photo consent.
Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all participants during activities; including the management of any allergies or medical issues.
Conduct regular coach meetings to communicate expectations, share updates, and address concerns. These should happen at the beginning of the day and at the end, away from all campers and parents.
Be the main face-to-face point of contact for parents during camp.
AYNI Development
Work closely with Business Development Director and Service Delivery Director to identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, networking and strategic planning.
Support AYNI Directors with latest trends, research and innovations in physical activity coaching
Essential qualifications and experience
Fully qualified teacher and/or level 2 coaching award.
3 years' experience at similar holiday camps or physical activity coaching.
Access NI clearance.
Have experience managing coaches in a similar role.
Strong leadership & team development skills.
Knowledge of safeguarding policies & best practices.
Ability to implement policies & procedures effectively.
Desirable qualifications and experience
Level 1 coaching award in a second sport or multi-sport
First aid
